THE MATTHEW FLINDERS

On a recent hot Saturday night myself and some friends
decided to go to the Matthew Flinders to play some pool and drink
some ales. We entered the bar at 9:30 and played a few games before
i had to go to the bar to get some more money for the pool table.
When i went to the bar security approached me and said "that
there is a dress code and i was not fulfilling its requirements."
I then retorted with "You let me in like this, why can't i stay?"
and the female security guard said "that after 10pm there is
a dress code and will have to leave." I tried to ask if it was
ok if i could go and tell my friends what had happened and she said
no.
As i walked out slightly pissed off i saw another friend
who had experienced the same thing. He was told that he needed to
wear a shirt and had already gone home to change. I went home to change
and when i got back i ran into my friend again and he told me he was
rejected another time for his shoes. And when both of us finally got
in we had noticed that there were several people who looked worse
than us.
The Matthew Flinders is a shithole. Although, it is
the best bogan pub I've seen, its still a shithole. Other annoying
factors of the evening; shitty cover band with male singer, murdering
songs from Sophie Ellis Bexter and Kylie Minogue, no chalk for the
pool table and lack of airconditioning in the pool table area.
